webfact Posted April 16, 2019 Share Posted April 16, 2019 Defence volunteer killed in drive-by shooting in Pattani By The Nation A defence volunteer was killed in a drive-by shooting in Pattani povince’s Kapho district on Tuesday morning while riding his motorcycle to work, police said. Police said Abdulrohman Katen 59, received three shots to his head and body, and died beside his motorcycle on a bridge over the Sai Buri River in Ban Kokwua village in Tambon Plong Hoi at 6am. Police said the volunteer was riding his motorcycle to the district office to take his guard shift. Witnesses told police they saw two men on a motorcycle catch up with the victim and open fire on him before speeding off. Police found four spent shells of 9mm pistol ammunition at the scene.
