Release of Mueller's Trump-Russia report looms as fight brews over redactions

Quite a diff between the two streams I watched for a while.  CBS seemed fairly balanced.  Turned to MSNBC, the 2 talking heads kinda tried, but their guests and field reporters have already begun to read small segments from the report without context, they feel sound disparaging.   And so begins the next phase of dripping out bits over time to continue the harassment campaign on television/internet.  On through to the next campaign would be ideal in their minds.

Most people are getting pretty sick of it now. The longer they drag this on the worse they will look. Only the left wing socialists find any of this meaningful now. The average person in the USA is more concerned with their 401K, thew price of gas and mortgage rates at the moment.

The dems will have to try to manufacture a recession in a vain attempt to win.

Let's wait and see how this shakes out in the next few weeks. My initial take is we're in a grey area. There is enough to strongly consider impeachment but there isn't enough to make it necessary to impeach.

There is no wait and see left. It's time to run the country.

So, when will the next USA presidential elections going to be? 2019?

It's easy to see how anybody could have that reaction to a witch-hunt about to begin. But if it makes you feel better please continue.

It was not a witch hunt. Take note -- Mueller did NOT exonerate. This was never up to Barr to decide upon. It's about what CONGRESS does. Barr has revealed himself to be 45's Roy Cohn. His name will live in infamy, just like Cohn.

As one commentator put it Trump's legal legal jeopardy is behind him and now it is simply political jeopardy and Trump can handle that. The only reason Trump isn't sunk for 2020 is the incredibly bad candidates the dems continue to put forward. So they might want to put together a real plan at this point.

Every passing day is becoming more clear that the dems are a dumpster fire and they will resort to sifting through the garbage as such. This is what makes Schultz so attractive.

So will Trump go down now or not?

If Trump is an criminal, that make the whole USA criminal. Trump represents what USA is and what USA values are.

Just asking for the World to know.

I don't agree with anything you said. I realize you promote a red state bubble POV. That's realness for those in the bubble but "trump" never grows his base. I'm not saying he can't win but if he does it will be with a minority of votes … again. I see a number of strong democratic candidates. It's too early to know who will emerge. I get it if you're in the 45 bubble and think that supporting something that the vast majority of Americans want (health care access for all) is too left wing, then you won't accept any democrat. Again, that's that bubble. That MINORITY bubble.

It will show Trump did some dodgy things but wasn't charged anybody that follows Trump is hardly going to be shocked. 2 years and 47 investigators couldn't bring a charge.

Here it is one more time just in case you missed my edit. Here is Obama's take on the elections.

Nothing changes his base. Nothing grows his base. So what?!? His base is not BIG enough.

He needs the EC. He only really needs to win OH which he will easily and one more such as PA, MI, WI, MN.

If so it's game over. The popular vote will matter less this year than ever before. If they run Bernie and Schultz plays the game it's over. I still hope Schultz could win. The dems would be a distant third in either case.

You're really quick with the game over garbage.

That's exactly how it went last time so why would it be different this time? Those are the battle ground states now. Trump will easily win TX, OH and FL. This is because of the extreme left wing candidates the dems put forward.

Here is a realistic EC map. It shows Trump only taking PA for the sake of argument. I have given MI, WI and of course MN. He needs basically one rust belt state and it's over.

edited: pic doesn't show the totals this scenario is dems 263 reps 275

Yawn.
Let's see if he's impeached first, shall we?

Check the topic here -- Mueller report released.

It's loaded with damaging stuff about the president.

Okay the reason the movement to continue to impeach is so strong is Trump will handily win. That's the whole motivation for this and perfectly on topic.

I guess we'll see what is going out of this.

What I understood, most of the finding have been passed to US states courts, where Trump can't overrule the court decisions or claim clemency.

Trump is going to be toast either during his term in the office, or when it ends.

Trump is going to history books as the man, who made Nixon to be forgotten.

You could be right you might be wrong. It is too nice today to worry about the little bubble here on TV any longer. I will check in later for the LULZ.

No. It's because he's not fit to be president in the first place and now it's proven he was mightily helped by Putin and he encouraged that help.  He lies constantly. He abuses power. He has no respect for the law. He thinks he's a dictator. He's the most corrupt president in history. He's the most divisive president in history. He thinks only his minority base matters. Others are his enemies. He makes Nixon look like Mother Theresa.

That's it for you totally. The LULZ. Totally transparent. Watch Fox "News" and we'd get the exact same 45 bubble shameless propaganda.

I have to agree with Pelosi on this (I usually don't).  Don't impeach him, his crybaby antics will get some emotional response that could blow back.  Let him go down in flames, but there needs to be a way to curb his power of pardoning in the meantime.  No worries about him maintaining his dignity, he doesn't have any.

My fantasy scenario is him sneaking away and living in exile and disgrace in Russia, with all his US assets confiscated.

Why to let USA to stagnate for further 2 years with Trump being the president of the USA?

If this works as a time for USA to have a break and breath, then that's ok. If USA wishes to regain it's earlier power over the world, then it's time for USA to find it's way and act fast.

Anyway, I think USA have lost it's plot already. The world have already changed and USA is no longer playing such big part of it, it used to play.

I'm not sure if this a turn for better or worse. I'm sure we are seeing far less connected and far more insecure world in the future.

That's all fine, unless we find ourselves in huge confrontation between nuclear powers. I'm afraid, that's where we are heading towards.
