Oh my God!  How would you like to be on the US State Dept's international protocol office, whatever it may be called?  I hope they will be using lots of pictures for Donald's "very large brain."

"Now, Mr. President, this will be very different than like going to one of your beauty contests."

This is worrying. I hope his staff and protection agents realize what urban Britain is like these days. It should be OK if he stays out in Devon or Cornwall where it remains England. Cheltenham and some parts of Surrey are fine too. Stay safe Trump, your work is too important to risk it by travelling to dangerous destinations.

If he does come, I hope he publicly rubbishes Obama's lie about Britain being at the "back of the queue" post Brexit for trade deals with the US. Probably the biggest and most provocative lie I heard a President come up with.

So we can expect a wave of remainer crybabies in London again with their 6 foot Trump balloon.

Maybe “Khun Thainess” can fly to London and proudly wear his MAGA hat to support his cult leader.

I can promise you one thing about 'Khun Thainesss' - I will never be intimidated for what I believe. If you think that is detrimental to my health.... I couldn't care less, and it says alot more about you than it does me.

Wow, a genuine mindreader! What other conclusion can we draw since as far as I can tell toenail made no reference at all to Thainess' health.

What bigger than Trump saying that if we choose a soft Brexit there will be no trade deal?

Well that will give many of the no hopers currently creating chaos in London under the climate banner some  chance to take part in other demos to disrupt the capital and get their lazy backsides involved again. Mind you Trump being given a State visit to the UK is a bit rich considered his propensity of intolerance towards blacks and Muslims.

?? If Britain has the "soft Brexit" and is forced to remain in the EU customs union then Britain will not be free to make any trade deals with the US whatsoever. So yes, once again Trump is 100% correct. Hardly surprising though. In the last 2 years he has run circles around his detractors. Not expecting that to stop any time soon.

Not the case. Wasn't related to the customs union, the UK would have still been free to make it's own trade deals.

Trump fears the EU more than any other body. He knows that he can't bully them. It's the only institution that has the financial power to challenge him and has made clear their willingness to do so.

He wanted the UK to make a clean break from the EU as part of his divide and conquer tactics.

Run rings round who? China? Iran? N. Korea? Don't see any of them caving in to his bullyboy tactics anytime soon.

As a player on the world stage, Trump's stock has well and truly tanked.

Trump will play the socialist EU like a broken fiddle, just like he has his other detractors. MAGA with a landslide in 2020 for Trump.

Most of his detractors are playing him like a fiddle. He's had zero successes on the world stage.

A landslide in 2020? More fool the American voters.

What makes you think they were remainers rather than brexiteers?

They were loony left liberals who are happy to welcome Chinese dictators, and any other dictator who pretends to be 'socialist" but not President Trump who despite his flaws was democratically elected.

And yes, expect the same. The left won't tolerate free speech they disagree with.

Fears the EU more than China of the Russian Federations? Your're having a laugh!

The EU isn't capable of defending itself without the US and NATO.

And the EU knows it!

"The left won't tolerate free speech they disagree with." Trump calls the free press "The enemy of the People". Are you saying Trump's a lefty now?

Fears them economically and politically. The US is the only country that thinks that it can solve the world's problems, and it's own, with military might and they've been proved spectacularly wrong on that assumption many times.

Do try to keep up. Your knowledge of world politics, or lack of it, seems to be on par with your orange god.

Having to resort to personal attacks and flames does not bode well for your argument. A soft brexit is essentially remaining in the EU. The UK electorate voted for, and won, a hard Brexit which would entail Britain pulling out of the EU customs union and being able to forge trade deals of our own. Let's just leave this here, once the insults start flying there is not much point trying to have a discussion.

U.S. President Donald Trump will make a state visit to the United Kingdom in June

It is unclear if Trump will be be invited, or allowed, to address to both houses of parliament.

In February 2017, the Speaker John Bercow said Trump should not be allowed to speak to parliament: “I feel very strongly that our opposition to racism and to sexism and our support for equality before the law and an independent judiciary are hugely important considerations in the House of Commons.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/apr/23/donald-trump-plans-state-visit-to-uk-in-june

Please, oh please let Trump speak before the Parliament. There's something magical the way Bercow grumbles Orrrderrr!
