Street gangs brawl on Pattaya Beach

PATTAYA:--Four gang members were hurt when rival factions brawled in the middle of Pattaya Beach.

Paramedics and police scooped up four bloodied bangers from the ground at Soi 13/2 April 21, including one slashed on the leg and three others with head and other bludgeoning injuries. They were treated at Banglamung and Pattaya hospitals.

The injured equally represented the two rival gangs. One gang member told police he and his friends were drinking alcohol on the beach when their opposites rode up on motorbikes and started the fight.

Tourists scattered as violence unfolded across the beachfront.

Police vowed to prosecute all involved.

Street gangs?

Crips? Bloods?

Or a group of teenagers hanging out and having a drink on Pattaya beach?

I call BS on the “street gang” description.

LOL , no they didnt mean an American street gang , they meant a gang of Thai youngsters who hang around the streets .

Why did you think that a group of Thai kids would belong to an American street gang ?

So every group of thai youngsters that socialise outside of their homes are considered to be in a street gang?

Drawing a long bow.

Surprised there still enough beach left to accommodate 2 gangs!

You obviously haven’t been down to Pattaya Beach recently. Despite the reports here the vast majority of the sand is still there and the beach is wide.

The sand quality is dodgy, but it is still mostly intact. They did a pretty good job all things considered. It is much better and bigger than before.

A gang of young Thais, armed with a variety of implements, regularly ride up from the Rayong area, looking for trouble.

Spoke to someone who witnessed this from a front row seat in Hooters. It is his first time in Thailand and he is already looking forward to coming back. The brawl put him in mind of Newcastle on a Saturday night. A good spectator sport.

So you were commenting on a beach you haven’t seen.

If you have teenage sons they will love Pattaya.

I can guarantee it.

Never assume Rob. I had a house there from 1988 to 1998. It was'nt a bad town then.

And like all cowards a good kick in the b$lls stops them dead in their tracks.  Problem is most Thais don't have any b$lls rather revert to acting like a pack of rabid dogs as this post illustrates. Of course not when its one on one they don't of course, they just run.

So you are saying that when Thais get in a one on one fight that they both run?

i have never seen that before. It would be funny.

So you haven’t seen the new beach that you were claiming had been washed away.

As I assumed.

Because it hasn’t washed away.

Why did you assume that it had?

Trust me mate, it’s awesome. They did a really good job. It is much better now than in 1998. It’s huge.

I was here before 1988. And Pattaya has always been a bad town. Your eyes must have been painted on to have missed that.

Old wives tale no 329

I can introduce you to a couple that won't run and I absolutely guarantee it will be one on one - interested ?

I grew out of saying such immature gibberish as that 70 years ago.  What next "my dad is bigger than your dad ?" That remark of yours ranks alongside the immaturity of the Thais being discussed.

Say no more.

Typical teen behavior. They do it because they are bored. I grew up in a small town in Ohio. Same kind of crappola by teens week in and week out. Then I lived in California. Same thing but with guns. The cops were just a body collection service. They were too busy raiding topless bars to bother with real crime prevention. Sound familiar?
