libya 115 Posted March 6, 2007 Share Posted March 6, 2007 SOURCE: Pattaya People: March 6th 2007 Young Girl Raped at Chark Nork Lake A tragic case came in to Dongtan Sub-station when Mrs. Phairin, aged 42, the mother of a 15 year old girl, brought in her daughter to see the police on 4th March at 1.30 am to inform that the girl had been raped. The girl told the police that at 8.15 pm on 3rd March, she came out to buy something for her mother with four other friends, using two motorbikes. When they got to Sukhumvit road, two Thai men, aged 25-30, on a motorbike approached them and demanded them to stop. Being children, they got frightened, left the bikes and ran. Unfortunately Mrs. Phairin’s daughter didn’t get very far as she tripped and one man captured her and the other drove the motorbike over and pulled her onto the bike. The man that grabbed her had his hand over her mouth the entire time to prevent her from screaming until they reached a forest area and then raped the unfortunate girl. When they were done, they left her there and took off. She walked out and found that she was around Chark Nork Lake. About 15 minutes later, her friend brought her mother along to find her. Her friend said that she can remember the two men clearly because one of them is her uncle, Sombat, aged 27. She does not know the other man’s name but can remember him because she sees him often with her uncle. They always hang around together in the Huay Yai area. The police sent the girl to the hospital for medical tests and they are issuing an arrest warrant for Sombat Phumsri and will search for his friend too, then hopefully they will be punished according to law for this ruthless behavior. I bet Uncle is appalled that his niece has tarnished the family name by pointing the finger.
