The festival is aimed at boosting the overall economy of Chanthaburi province. Visitors will be able to taste local food from various districts in the province, see and purchase local goods, access fruit garden tour packages and receive special offers from tourism attractions and hotels in the province. The event will also offer complimentary fruit tastings twice a day, serving visitors unlimited durian and other fruit, along with the Khao Lam Durian burning activity offering alternative ways to enjoy durian. Chanthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization is well prepared for the event, stressing that the intention is to promote direct sales from farmers to consumers, which will help boost the province’s economy with 1 million baht daily cash circulation expected.
