The Crime Suppression Division have finally arrested a husband and wife who were wanted for the stabbing murder of a man in Pattaya in 2011.

Piyapong, 35, and his wife Phiraphan, 40, were apprehended on a Pattaya court warrant issued in November 2011. They were arrested at a clinic in the Klong Luang area of Pathum Thani north of Bangkok.

They were charged with murder after a man called Noppadon came to see Phiraphan on November 18th, 2011 to get 300 baht back that she owed him.

The incident happened at an apartment in Nong Prue.

Piyapong told the CSD that he acted alone. Phiraphan has denied involvement.

A tip off or long and diligent cold case detective work by the "crackdown police"?

A rhetorical question but frivolous answers are welcome.

You must come from a country with amazing law enforcement agencies if there are no cold cases or “Most Wanted” lists.

That amount was not the payment for a hit. Read the story, it was over a 300 baht debt.
