A Phetchaburi man hanged himself late Sunday night three hours after quarrelling with his daughter, who had reportedly told him “to go and die”, police said on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Suwit Rodchua, 72.

Cha-am police station was alerted at 11.30pm on Sunday night that Suwit had hanged himself inside the garage beside the family’s house in Moo 8, Tambon Khao Yai, in Phethchaburi’s Cha-am district.

His wife, Suwan Rodchua, 71, told police that her husband had quarrelled with their daughter and that he had shouted at her, telling her to go and die, but the daughter had yelled back that he should go and die first.

Suwan said her husband had then disappeared, and she only discovered three hours later that he had hanged himself with a nylon rope in the garage, according to police.

Suwit would have turned 73 years old today.

Never have kids

Yes yes yes 1000 times yes.

Never had 'em. Never wanted 'em. Never understood why anyone would want 'em. I cannot fathom a single solitary advantage in a man's life by having kids. I just don't get it.

Daughters will do that.

I've got 2 and they have driven me to the edge a hundred times but I decided not to give them the satisfaction.  :cheesy:

My step-daughter is so lovely that I kept her after I dumped the wife.

Was wondering about the age of the daughter in the OP, but the reporters didn't think that worthy of printing.

I wonder if she’d threatened to go to the bib, there’s no rope without fire as they say.

I would imagine that your mother and father would agree with you entirely, emphatically, but sadly!

Kids are OK.   Curried goat tastes quite good. I do question having children though.
