Deedial alternative cheap int. Calls no app.

Googled searched with little luck.

Deedial had a decent low rate plan for international calls especially the USA.

They had a free call back number so no charges on your mobile to use, no app to install and pretty sure no charge to recipients.

Plan expired.

Any decent non app type calling card or system please?

I was getting less than .5 baht a minute.

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip KD.

Got as far as confirmation but no free call yet.

Might be too late but it asked for referral.  That be you!

Don't worry about the referral.

Did you get your five minutes of free calling credited?

Not able to use with mobile yet.

Got a msg telling me to use via internet.

So far useless.

You are useless or the service?

To use the Localphone Callback service(in exactly the same way as DeeDial), you need to verify your mobile number. Have you done so?

Useless mobile service so far.

I got confirmation sms on mobile and email.

Customer service and you both telling me what i have tried numerous times.

Will try again tonight.

You haven't explained the issue. What exactly is it? Callback service not calling you back?

For calls/texts to the U.S. (only), and from the U.S. (only), and assuming you have WiFi/mobile data on your mobile phone, you can try apps. like Talkatone.

Google Voice is also an option, but registration can be challenging unless you are in the U.S., or at least get someone there to assist you in the registration process.

I have one Talkatone number and two GV numbers. All standard 10-digit numbers (free) in my area code and exchange of choice. Calls and texts are free, both from here to the U.S. and for those in the U.S. communicating to you (barring any local/LD charges for them).

Talkatone seems to have slightly better SMS performance, esp. re: certain bulk OTP deliveries.

I run the two GV numbers on mobile devices, PCs and an OBi 200 (supports up to 4 numbers).

If you can encourage migration of friends/family to messaging platforms like LINE, WhatsApp!, Messenger, then that opens up a whole lot of other opportunities (voice, text, video), but doesn't help with communications via standard telephony services (10-digit/8xx).

Thanks.

There are a lot of apps and options for smart phones.

I need something like a mobile calling card with a call back number. Looking into the global option mentioned here, something like mytello, then all the other threads (time consuming.)

How many minutes per month?

Countries called?

Budget?

Why is call-back so vital? Local access minutes can be had for satang.

Some countries have high termination charges so IDD/long haul over VoIP is not the biggest per min factor.

I think there's still a CAT calling card?

Suspect you know about prefixes like 007, 008, 009, 00600, 00500, 00400?

Skype, and other VoIP, prepaid?

Correct.

No call back number listed only pin.

Service may not be available in thailand.

Keep getting same automated response from cust ser.

Strange. I've used it in Vietnam. Though I did originally register with a U.K number, I have used it in Vietnam with a Vietnamese SIM card.

Also strange that you are only getting an automated response. I always get an operator get back to me via email. [email protected] or https://www.localphone.com/contact

Can you at least offer an estimate or average for the minutes/month question? Are we talking 10, 100, 1000 minutes per month?

And the budget question, with a figure (per minute, per month). 1 baht/minute is acceptable? 1,000 baht/month is acceptable?

What is your application? Just calling friends and family? Or are you in some sort of business? Do you need people to call you back?

No worries and thanks.

What i really am looking for is a free call back service that deedial had. Preferably one independant on a smart phone once set up.

Feel free to elaborate on cat and 00 numbers and the things i not know of.

Mytello looks good but no free callback.

Thanks to all again.
