PM promises to do “better and better” if he is reappointed

He and his cronies had five years, ample time, to do „better and better“; in the past neither elected nor appointed, this time not elected - so why should he not arrange his self-appointment for a second time?

same as most of the politicians around the wold say after serving their first (non convincing)  term

every government achieves something, no matter hoe small. However this guy in the pst has openly expressed that he is a soldier not a politician and looking at the economic woes right now Thailand deserves a professional politician. he just doesn't want to give up the banquet, simple as that...

He did do better rigging the election like no others have done before. History will remember him as a rather dim individual who was an accidental general and premier with no significant achievements.

Gawd, I shudder with fear as to what he means by better than before! More suppressions, more an army and police state, more sections 44! scary!

Of course, in five year's time he's likely to have achieved something! However, it is far from what you are stating.

1. After the network he belongs to created disorder + not where it really matters (South)

2. Ok. Conveniently positioned in time before elections

3. Improved, not stopped, and not met the minimum standards. "Thailand was upgraded to Tier 2 in the State Department’s Trafficking in Persons Report 2018 thanks to the government’s increasing efforts to address trafficking problem although it did not fully meet the minimum standards for elimination of the problem."

http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/thailand-upgraded-tier-2-trafficking-persons-report-2018/

4. It has improved in comparison to the poor initial performance of the Junta, not when compared with previous governments. In addition, since 2014, Thailand's GDP growth has sways  been inferior to comparable Asian countries (figures available at the IMF website)

5. Several projects have been launched without much public input and scrutinity. Due to high opacity, it is impossible to draw conclusions about their relevance and cost/benefits performance.

any official data to support that,

1 - you're joking, correct?

2- not in my area, the majority wants him out as fast as possible

3-really??? humm so the girls on the plane to Macau were cheerleaders

4- some official  numbers indicated otherwise

5 - where? and what because in my area they started 10-20 road projects but nothing is completed

That quote reminds me of Inspector Clousuea's boss - Chief Inspector Dreyfus, when he was in the mental hospital: "Every day in every way I'm getting better and better."

The Chief Inspector kept repeating that mantra until he went insane, apparently.  You are alluding to the Coué method (see the entry for Émile Coué in Wikipedia).  Supposedly, by means of auto-suggestion, one can reprogram one's mind to become an eternal optimist and conquer whatever negative thoughts may hinder personal improvement.  (To suggest, darkly, that later propagandists took over this method to inspire entire nations to go mad would be unfair to the Frenchman, of course, but let us suggest it anyway.)  The Coué method became something of a fad in the early 1900's.  The populace merely needs to follow the example of their dear leader, who obviously knows his Coué, and lo, they'll all soon be happily daft, and completely pliable.  A variation, if you will, on the idea of a "social credit" system, without the need for constant surveillance.
