same as most of the politicians around the wold say after serving their first (non convincing)  term

There is a very big difference, very few politicians can write their own constitution, organize an election which favors their party with all kinds of measures geared at ignoring the will of the electorate.

Prayuth isn't a politician, he is a dictator, with no mandate whatsoever.

And even after all the cheating, sabotaging and dubious way of counting votes, his party cannot count on a normal majority in the lower house, and they will probably have to resort to 250 senators, all appointed by Prayuth himself. Not many politicians around the world get to appoint their own senators either.

The biggest difference is, normal politicians can simply be voted out of office. Prayuth cannot.

Interesting that this article is coming to Thai Visa now. What achievements? Hastily approved infrastructure projects that allow some of his cronies to salt millions of baht overseas? Digital economy improvements that include Chinese-style monitoring and censorship/prosecution potential? Without Section 44 this guy is a lame duck!

Interesting and somewhat sad this is even still being discussed. The fact that this guy is still in politics is so unfortunate for the country but if he was voted out he would have leveraged his military cronies, he isn't leaving unless the Thais are dead set in removing him.

Such weak and insubstantial nonsense. Not what Thailand needs. No, that is why Prayut is riding high aloft the rest because he is strong, no nonsense, direct and to the point. A veritable hero of the Thai people, a shining beacon of light. Steering Thailand through troubled times into a new and bright future.

Hmm, he is such a hero, that he couldn't even win the elections, even AFTER he cheated right left and center. His achievements are so minimal, the first order of business for the good of Thailand is to get rid of him, throw him in jail, or let him self excile.

No hate, just stating facts. Stop supporting a dictator, your credibility is below zero. No-one should be this dumb.

'IF' he is reappointed???

You mean 'WHEN he is reappointed', right?

I am sure Thais are already looking forward to happier and happier days ahead.

Current, unelected, self appointed, untouchable dictator!

if he is reappointed! Get real..

One individual can command so much power! Reminds me of one past dictator who commanded power and attempted to take over the world, and in the process millions of innocent citizens plus military personnel died because of his greed, and for what!

Greed! Power! '

'THE WORLD IS MINE'

The masses are not important, we are surplus to requirement. Money talks and commands dictators and those with the power to change life's...

What a sad world I live in.
