ubonjoe
You could enter on a tourist visa issued by the embassy or a consulate in India or get a free 15 day visa on arrival. I see no mention of visa status shown on the Indonesian embassy website. http://indonesianembassybangkok.org/consular-immigration/indexbrowser.php?main=ordinary_visa_info
VocalNeal
if you can get a visa om arrival just state tourism on your arrival form. The fact you are going to fill out the visa form and give them your "telex" letter is irrelevant. I assume your employer told Indonesian immigration to send the "telex" letter to Bangkok?
