Tries to fix it and got a message hardsrive not installed. Any suggestions to fix it would be appreciated. A lot of work on it so hopefully can fix it... Isaanbiker Posted May 20, 2019 Share Posted May 20, 2019 Take both memory cards out ( a piece of cake) and clean the contacts with an eraser. Remove the two screws that hold the HD and take it out and reinsert it properly that you can feel that it's attached. If the blue screen continues, press F 8 and boot from your HD. If you can't see it listed, you might need a new HD, or you've got a problem with the motherboard= overheating after so many hot days. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Laptops often die from overheating. I've got HD Sentinel installed, just to see the real temperature and the notebook shuts down from alone when it reaches 48 degrees Celsius. You can adjust it to give you a warning tone or shut down when you want it to. And it tells you precisely how many starts/stops the machine/HD already had and the life span.
