Short or no q at airport

Friendly IOs

Cultural experience train from airport to downtown

Doesn't flood every year

Doesn't have to give out warnings for breathing in polluted air

Food isn't grown soaked in pesticides and herbicides and antibiotics

Not full of angry white men

I had assumed all produce in SEA is soaked in "banned in the west" pesticides.

This is great news if correct.

Where did you learn this, or can you provide a link.

What about the quality of produce in Vietnam?

As far as AQI, I thought the countries surrounding Thailand have bad air as well during the burning season.

the only people you will see are the little mafia pickpockets.  Ive been watching them the last week or so. they are pretty audacious and have some success. just a warning

I believe this is true. Cant remember where I read it but one thing is the tonal sap river that PP takes its water from is actually pretty clean. Maybe they just cant afford the pesticides or havent learnt about them

Because sitting in a shit casino that is 1 star throwing your hard earned away takes class? Enjoy ????

There is a crap table in Reno where you can watch the girlie show and get free drinks while shooting craps.  Bet the pass line and the odds are in your favor for the come out roll.  At least there was the last time I was there.

IMO it is very unlikely that the Cambodian produce is not as loaded with banned in the west chemicals as Thailand.

AQI likewise similar.

Nothin like a $500 steak and a crap beer

Same thing happens in OZ pensioners hit the clubs for the $7 roast and drop 50 in the pokies..A mugs game !

Give me a go go honey with her hands down my shorts for a $5 lady drink any day..I can get a 60 baht kebab on the way home lol

I agree but just to make a slightly :offtopic2: point, casinos can work in your favour: when I visited Vegas years ago, I spent about 10USD on slots, and had a delicious steak dinner with "all you can eat" salad bar in a lovely restaurant for free. As long as you did some "gambling" the casino was happy.

But to get back to the point: GoGo honey wins many times over casinos - I hope Thailand never allows casinos.

I am going to go back to Cambo for another look soon - this time on my  own, before I was with my (now ex) TGF.  ????

What you'll notice is the girls available to you in Cambodia are 10 years younger than the girls you were with in Thailand.

Interesting point....but, for me, irrelevant - I like MILFs and Yummy Mummies as much as i like the younger ladies. Sort of a balanced diet :whistling:

Most of them would fit your requirements when they were 20, lots of 30yo grandmothers around.

I met a nice 22 yo that was already a mother of four.

This has been a wickedly good thread. Thanks to all who presented great, informative, detailed information on Cambodia.

I agree with a lot of the posts. I lived in PP in 2011-12 and visited many many times since 2004. I still have a soft spot for PP. I'm in Vietnam now due to two of my best friends who moved here from, you guessed it, Bangkok. But am still considering moving back to Cambodia. Will visit again in June or July.

Thailand is out. [Insert colourful language here.]

As for Vietnam, if you're thinking about it, try it. I'm not here to push my views on anyone. But, in no particular order, I'm not a big fan of Viet girls who are as hardcore as they come. The variety and quality of supermarket foods in VN is not on par with Thailand (or Phnom Penh). I really don't like it when Viet apartment hotels close the shutters at 10 or 11 pm. I've never felt more in harm's way than when I step into a Viet street with hundreds of motorcycles trying to kill me. And last but not least, the usual statement: I am nothing more than an ATM to the Viets of every age. Yadda yadda [more colourful language].

I never thought I see you write this. Anyway, good luck.

Yes I am surprised my thread blew up so fast.  Happy to have this discussion. I am still trying to read everything.

My question is, you said in Viet, they treat you like an ATM similar to thailand but not in cambodia at those levels.????

I am sick of the constant games some thais play trying to get money from me by lying or manipulation.   (I only made 40 baht tip today,,,,,need 500 for taxi. loL)

Ha! "Need money taxi" is a popular one. I gave up on the girls in TH and VN. As for Cambodia, to be honest, I'm out of touch the last few years really as I spent more time in VN. As for the regular Khmer girls, that will require more current experience.

I do my own testing for my pastime. It's been difficult for some Cambodian exporters to pass the test needed for export because they don't poison their product.

Vietnam is ok surprisingly considering what the warmongers did to it tho there are some areas that are destroyed for ever. The highlands around Dalat are very clean. There was an arrangement by both sides not to fight in that area. Excellent and different produce up there.

Cambodia's air is ok. The bad air from the burning season in Thailand comes from neighbouring countries Burma and Laos. I used to live in Chiang Rai which is unliveable for about 4 months but getting longer every season.

The bad air in Thailand comes from neighbours? That's straight out of Thai Tourism propaganda ... and it is simply not true, as anyone who has flown into Chiang Mai or Chaing Rai during burning season will testify.

Tell the truth about Thailand.

The bad air is from Thai farmers burning stubble, and Hill Tribe farmers burning forest.

I was answering JimmyJs quote about smoke coming from neighbouring countries. The neighbouring countries are Laos and Burma, not Cambodia. Of course Thailand makes its own smoke.

Its not just the farmers burning. Everyone is up there burning anything they can find, trash, prunings, etc.

really?  That is horrible

same in Thailand

I got the feeling its more the mothers that do the pimping in Thailand, but its difficult to know, its not something they will talk openly about obviously. whatever in Cambodia I havent met a girl who would have a long term relationship unless I support the father and brothers. but Im just one person and theres ten million people here so who knows? Its certainly more hand out in Cambodia. people want money for nothing. which is why so many have nothing.

I don't know about Cambodia but Thailand certainly some girls are under pressure from boyfriends and even family in Isaan, sad but true. Why do you think they marry someone 30 years older

maybe because younger guys arent so keen to support guys their own age who sit in a room all day and do nothing

Because they're lazy, and young guys don't have the money to support lazy.

And young guys have more choice - some old guys are so desperate to get a "partner" that they'll do or pay anything.

I spent a month in Siem Riep and the power seemed to go out every time it rained......and not for hours, for days. Each time I had to move into a hotel with a generator which got to be pricy. Drivers worse than here, and they're on the other side of the road.

I would look at Vietnam before Cambodia.
