Politics should not be a family business, did they forget that the population supported the military in throwing away this exact family ?

You should check your facts on this one, the military did a coup to take power no support from the population on that

It's hard to understand how this is the right guy to negotiate.

His dad and half-sister (oops!!) aunt can't come here to look after dad's parties, investments, wishes. So he's the best choice to talk on dad's behalf. His brother-in-law, being yet another ex-prime minster, would not look good.

Forget the Shinawatra family, none of this family has so far been able to pay the consequences for what they did, with the money stolen from the people they have only been able to escape, cowardly behavior!

Hardly cowardly. They wouldn’t receive a fair trial so why stay? You’d be an idiot to stay.

They'd be idiots to stay because they know full well the extent of their financial crimes. Any sign of ex PM Somchai Wongsawat's wife, Jae Deng, Thaksin's sister? No sign of her in the election campaign and yet she had nearly all the northern Pheua Thai MPs in her stable.

No credibility so why put him forward, perhaps he's just the next piece of fodder to be thrown under the bus.

By the way where's big sister from Chiang Mai, still abroad?

The Shinawatra family will not be forgotten as they are still extremely popular with many ordinary Thai people. They are "Northerners" from Chiang Mai and are despised and hated by the Bangkok Establishment. In my book, they are certainly not cowards and Pheu Thai is still a dominant party across the north of Thailand.
