Invasion of Chinese in SE Asia and Pacific Islands

We've all heard about it.... Chinese are flocking to Thailand in massive numbers. But what about big Chinese companies developing hotels and taking over prime tourist spots.

Sihanoukville is a prime example. There have been many reports of Chinese building casinos and buying out hotels. This American guy reports how he was told to leave his hotel as it was bought out by the Chinese. He suggested that its hard to find long term accommodation in snookieville bc its being overtaken by the chinese...

This one is an example in Fiji. This one is a shocking example of how they really dont care about the environment or the local culture. I wonder if these 2 guys from Oz will be shot defending their land one day in the future.

What about where you live in Thailand. Any invasion of the Chinese??

Not starting anything if you believe from history you did. ????

America is full of occupying immigrates, the Indigenous Americans were put in Indian reservations.

The term Sino Thais that are referred to now came much later as did the mixing of Thais with Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malayan peoples of bordering countries.

Original Thais came from southern China into the mainland Southeast Asia around the 10th century AD.

Prior to this, where Thailand (Siam) is situated was known as Greater India and the Indianized kingdoms ruled.

We are talking about today and what's happening currently.

The Chinese are infiltrating almost everywhere. In my home country of Canada, we have many "Chinatown" areas. There are complete, major communities that are all Chinese, Chinese shopping malls with Chinese-only signage.

As a friend says, "one day we will wake up and say, oh, we are owned by the Chinese now".

And so it may well be in Thailand in the not too distant future.

Noteworthy: Many condo buildings are now astronomically priced as a result of absent Chinese buying them and renting them out or sitting on their investment until prices rise (again). They often buy before the shovel goes into the ground.

Read on I quoted about Thais from what history is known, not of China as it has become to this day which is what OP is talking about.

I just answered OP question in a humorous way as I see it which believe as true if you read history..

OP's question.

"What about where you live in Thailand. Any invasion of the Chinese??"
