Korat park digging moat to hem in elephants

Bt3.2 million has been allocated to dig a 10-kilometre moat on the edge of Thap Lan National Park in Nakhon Ratchasima to keep wild elephants from raiding adjacent croplands.

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenya's high court on Friday upheld a law banning gay sex, keeping same sex relations punishable by 14 years in jail in the East African nation and drawing strong criticism from the United Nations and rights activists.

(Reuters) - The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit on Friday challenging a law enacted by Alabama last week that bans nearly all abortions and makes performing the procedure a felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison.
