British passport renewals in Chiang Mai As confirmed officially on the GOV.UK website:- https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/overseas/information/thailand/renew/adult Beats me, though, that we're still not permitted to use the online system from Thailand, which HMPO are encouraging the use of elsewhere. This should, in theory, eliminate the need for an initial application trip and only require a single trip to Bangkok or Chiang Mai to collect the new passport, get the old one cancelled and pick up the Embassy stamps transfer request proforma letter.
