Busted: People running a hotel at Bangkok condominium arrested/charged in police/immigration raid

The Thai Tourist Police Bureau page on Facebook reported that a 40 strong contingent of their men, immigration, protection agency officials and interpreters descended on a luxury Bangkok condominium on Thursday.

Marine Rangers: DMCR calls for volunteers to help protect marine treasures

PHUKET: The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) is calling for people – Thai or foreign – to volunteer as “Marine Rangers” in order to protect coral reefs and other coastal areas, including mangroves, from damage by irresponsible tour operators or other unscrupulous parties.

JAKARTA (Reuters) - A volcano erupted on the Indonesian holiday island of Bali, causing some overnight flight cancellations to and from Australia as an ash cloud rose into the sky, officials said on Saturday.

Update: No evidence of dangerous chemicals at port blaze site

Preliminary investigations have not found any toxic chemicals at Laem Chabang Port, which suffered a disruption due to a fire on Saturday morning, the director of Thailand Port Authority, Kamolsak Phromprayoon, said.
