Unhabitual
Good afternoon, I’m on the bus on the way to Chiang Rai and I may have left my anti-Parkinson’s meds in the bus station. Real brainy, I know. It’s not a drug that’s commonly found in most pharmacies, so could anyone kindly suggest a place that sells (or possible would sell) Pramipexole? Sifrol/Pramipexole is a dopamine agonist that’s quite dangerous to quit suddenly so if push comes to shove, I’ll just have to get them from a hospital. lopburi3
If this is what you need it can be ordered from Bangkok. http://drugstorebangkok.com/product/sifrol-250-mcg-10s/ Suspect it can be sourced locally as is a normal drug sold here in many forms. But it is an S control so may require a doctor visit to prescribe. https://www.mims.com/thailand/drug/info/sifrol-sifrol er
sceadugenga
I'd go to one of the private hospitals like Sriburin or The Overbrook and see a doctor for a prescription. Sriburin near Big C would probably quicker.
Unhabitual
Thank you for the replies. Here is an update should someone else later have this problem: I went to Fassino Pharmacy, Overbrook hospital, Chiang Rai Hospital, and only the government hospital carried pramipexole. However, to get it, you have to queue for a neurologist visit first in the morning and then they’d approve you to buy the medication. Instead of that, I had a friend buy it from a pharmacy in Chiang Mai, put it in a box with snacks, and ship it via Green Bus to Chiang Rai. It arrived the same day- 6 hours later and was 57 baht. Buying the medication online is more expensive then going to pharmacies in Chiang Rai, Dara Pharmacy being the cheapest.
