It was all a trick and correctly dubbed BRINO because it was not any kind of a Brexit. We have not seen any evidence of a soft brexit proposal yet, from any side. The Lib Dems and the Greens have many other manifesto policies that people would have voted for, not least the environmental aspects which were brought to the forefront by the recent Extinction Rebellion protests.
