My monthly expenses/payments as a family man living in Thailand

Recommended Posts

I see many lower end budgets being written online, I decided to post the expenses and payments that I have monthly.

Rent 57,000

Electric 18,000-20,000

Part time Maid 9000

School for one child 43,000 per month

Mortgages 126,000 of which 82,000 covered from rent

Car repayment 129,000 per month

Investments 200,000-300,000 per month

Loan repayments per month

41,000

55,000

77,000

Eating out/spending outside 30,000 per month

Online subscriptions 15,000 per month

There are lots of other expenses and costs. But that's all the bulky consistent ones.  I have missed a few intentionally, I do not have or need health insurance.

The OP reads like "Show and Tell" that we did in early grade school.

"These are 3 'cat's eye' marbles...".

A guy lives somewhere in Thailand in some sort of lodgings of unknown size and neighborhood with unknown number of others and pays 57,000 rent.

Can't think of any way that post could be helpful to anyone, but who knows I guess...

Your staying in a place that's only 57,000 per month.

It must be a dump .... there are far better places around for 80-90k a month.

I don't want to spend anymore on rent, that's enough

Hmm.

Ok.

I think you stumbled with your claim of a monthly car payment of

129,000...

But of course, I believe everything else thanks for sharing.

Have a look at luxury car prices please, they are very expensive here.

That's a funny sitcom, but I'm posting anonymously, so I'm not doing this post for ego reasons.

Your monthly medication costs probably exceed any of your above expenses.

Can you explain this please?  Do you think wealthy people dont exist in Thailand?

Thank you for sharing. The expensive schools here sucks but its extremely good value for money. Its around 33k a month, 7k for bus and 3500 for extras plus costumes for events.  I know schools double this cost.

You forgot to include internment in a psycho facility...????

You think it's crazy to spend money I earn in such a way?

If this was the USA my housing costs would be three times as much (just a guess) for the same house but car payments would be half.

99.9% chance of you being mentally ill, 0.1% chance of you being wealthy.

When you're in a bar, do you whisper 'pedo' to all the old foreign guys with young girlfriends?

Some inconsistencies, but without them it wouldn't be science fiction. Some of my former colleagues who left the UN system with 30 to 35 years of services at a D grade are at around half a million THB a month.

Interestingly, the Philippines grant retirement visas under special conditions (1500 USD deposit) to ex UNers. Obviously they are much smarter than the Thais.

The grammar police is out now. The financial police have already exited.

Insecure wealthy people who need to brag about their expenditures as they really have little else to offer in life.

You're saying that anyone who makes reasonable money is mentally ill?

I'm anonymous. I wanted to see how messed up peoples mindsets are.  Seems alot of hatred or disbelief because other peoples wealth makes people feel uncomfortable with there own situation.

No, I'm suggesting you are mentally ill.

(and it's 'you're' or 'you are' not 'your')

But what is your reasoning?  Is it having a luxury car?

Let me correct you, what you have is a lot of debt and no wealth is apparent in your post.  You might currently have a decent income for Thailand.  That might be doing something illegal.  You seem to be very flashy.  You don’t speak like a person with money ...

I have good debt for business and investments.

Lots of people claim wealthy people must be doing something illegal, they dont understand the work, leverage and balls it takes.

Only 3 people in real life know my income and net worth.  They are far up the ladder to me. I don't talk about it due to jealousy and making people feel bad.

Also, I said 200-300k a month in investments, but you said no apparent wealth in my post? It was a list of expenses, not bragging about assets or net worth.
