Man taken down after shooting girlfriend’s brother, nephew, attempts to flee with them as hostages

PHUKET: After a relationship that started on Facebook broke down, a man was arrested in Rawai today for shooting his new love’s brother twice in the leg and her nephew once in the arm. The man’s arrest came after his attempt to flee with the two as hostages failed.

 

 

 

Chalong Police were called to the scene, at Patak Villa on Patak Rd in Rawai, at 5:50am this morning (June 10).

 

Pennapa Eiemsamran, 27, called the police after she had taken refuge in a bedroom of her house to avoid being found by her new ex-boyfriend, Pimonsak Jantarat, 26, from Trang.

Yes, can't really blame the shooter...he never had a chance to realize every young Thai man's dream...make a baby or two with a young woman...then move to another city and start the whole sordid process over again...

 

For this reason...the Thai male dominated judicial system will take pitty on the poor guy...????

"Pimonsak faces a slew of charges, police confirmed, including causing bodily harm, illegal possession of gun and ammunition, carrying a firearm and ammunition in a public place without a permit, as well as possession of a Category 1 drug (ya bah and ya ice) and a Category 5 drug (marijuana) with intent to sell."

 

 

I hope they haven't left the "damaging Thailand's image" off the charge sheet ?

PHUKET: Chalong Police have confirmed the charges against the man arrested for shooting his girlfriend’s brother and nephew – and attempting to take them hostage and flee the scene – in Rawai yesterday morning (June 10).

 

Pimonsak Jantarat, from Trang, was arrested at the Patak Villa housing estate in Rawai after his hostages wrangled his handgun off him while his attention was focussed on unloading three shots into a parked car that was blocking his escape. 

 

According to a report issued by the Investigation Division of the Chalong Police, Pimonsak is facing the following charges:
