landing suvarnabhumi Airport

Recommended Posts

Hello, I spent the last 2 years 22 months with MTV in Thailand. Now I want to enter again with an MTV at suvarnabhumi Airport. I will be 50 in October and come from Germany. What are my chances that I will let in?

Depends how long since your last visit and history of being in Thailand. No one can advise with more info.

Right, it is not only time in Thailand, but how long you have been away. What is your history of visits in the last 12 months? We would still not be able to give a firm answer, but can probably indicate the likelihood of trouble.

If you haven't booked yet I'd fly to malaysia or laos and enter thailand by land border instead.

If you do fly in try to choose a queue with a young male officer, they care less than women and older guys. Watch the queues and see which officers are sending people away for questioning. Have 20k baht equivalent in cash and an onward ticket booked.

The fact that you are flying from your home country helps, but there is a definite chance of denied entry.

Malaysia Pedang Besar entry-point looking tougher from recent reports...20-minute interviews and supporting tourist paperwork requested and analysed...(hotel booking/flight out/money).

P.Besar was the alternate to tougher one nearby...Sadao...in recent times.

+1

Arriving by air with an METV (which is not the easiest to get).

Would be surprised if they make trouble.

Interesting topic.

I am in a similar situation and will report too whether I will be let in.

3 years of ED visa, with some re-entry permits in between.

Last year about 8 month in Thailand, 4 months away with re-entry permits.

Away from Thailand (this time) 7 weeks.

Also going to BKK next week and from Germany. ลุ้น 😀

Entering visa exempt this time.

It would give you comfort if you tackle the issue this way, bitte: why should you be denied entry? are you breaking any rule in the book? an onward ticket to laos might be a better option than coming via a land border i think.

what does it look like when an arrivee is sent away for questioning? do you see them being escorted away by a guard?
