A pretty accurate synopsis of an enormous country which is highly populated and has been for a long time. Have a look at the level of violence on an ordinary street  (pick anywhere) and compare to the level of violence in a western country......say eg the states.....wow that was a bit biased wasn't it. What was I thinking.....Mainland China doesn't appear quite so bad anymore....maybe go and visit this amazing country for a while but do it with an open mind.  you will be pleasantly surprised.....

No freaking public toilets at stations or on the route. The only surprise is there aren't more cases of accidents on public transport.

surely cannot be that expensive to fix?

This sort of behaviour shows she believes she is superior to the lowly Thai people.

I thought from the photo she appeared pretty lowly herself.

1. It appears to me that the quality of tourists has declined in line with the quality of the tourism experience.

2. I see Thai men urinating literally anywhere and everywhere.

Just sometimes????

I like how they wash their hands in the bathrooms, run under cold water and shake it off, similar to Thai if they wash at all, up here in Korat, they have new signs in toilets , How to property wash your hands really, no education in Schools

Yep, I believe that's mostly the case throughout the ARL and at least the original BTS and MTR lines....  The stations generally have bathrooms for their staff back behind locked doors, but not generally available to the public, AFAIK....

And I believe, they avoided the public bathrooms intentionally.... not like they just forgot to design/build them as part of the various stations.
