And it might even not be that easy to grow medical cannabis, as it might require specialist knowledge.

I just read in today's news from my home country – where medical cannabis growing, and production, has been legalized – that they are short of staff with enough knowledge to grow the cannabis, and now begin a special gartner-education for medical cannabis. The article in Danish is here, and it can probably be google-translated to understandable English language, should anyone be interested.

????

Sorry but it's very easy at least for personal use. Pharmaceutical company and government would prefer you think otherwise obviously.

I’ve actually had chemotherapy 14 years ago I actually had cancer before but I’m ok now and when it happened to me I recovered extremely well. Within a year I was back to running marathons again after the cancer. I haven’t even had a follow up appointment or a CT scan in a few years in fact I’m over due for a CT scan and a colonoscopy now but my oconus TRICARE insurance will cover that expense whenever I decide to get that done again. Luckily when I was diagnosed with cancer I was assigned to the Washington, D.C. area at the time so I was lucky enough to get treated at Walter Reed hospital and those doctors were awesome.

Wow! How did you manage to get that? I am currently looking into doing the same but finding it difficult to find much info if any. Would you maybe be able to point me in the right direction to find any info on obtaining a permit to grow?

I gave someone in Chiang Mai the names of 5 Doctors in that area, and not one of them would sign his paper work. If you now Steve S. in CM ask him about it. I live here in Phichit, and if you what to come here and see my Doctor... I can set it up for you.

Do you get a cultivation license to grow 5,000 plants from your doctor??? I will be coming to Bangkok on the 2nd of December for a conference, I will have to pop to sriracha to see the family but might make my way there afterwards.?

Also what was the cost roughly to get the license to grow 5,000? Sorry for all the questions, really appreciate the replies and help!

One of the University's I am working with in BKK has the license for the grow, they want to do 5,000. My team are trying to talk them to bring that number way down, we will see!

I recently just got my THC permit for Cannabis oil at my local government hospital it’s great for someone like me with permanent injuries that cause chronic pain and insomnia!!! It works great! They should have legalized medical marijuana several years ago. It’s a great substitute for opioid pain medication for severe chronic pain and it’s a great substitute for a lot of medications and ailments! I never thought I’d see it happen in Thailand this stuff is a God send! It’s great medicine and it’s safe non addictive medicine as well with no negative side effects.

What helped me to get off all the opioids pills the VA had me on, was using "Kratom"

Doctor cannot give you a license to grow thousands of plants and I doubt any private foreign individual can get one.

I didn’t imagine this was the case! And luckily for me I am a Thai citizen so that won’t be a hurdle I will have to jump over!

Private Thai citizen won't be able to get this either. Would need a registered company etc. I have heard talk of private households being allowed to grow maximum of I think 8 plants. Thousands, never.

It's 6 but only talk and talk is cheap. I can foresee a future where Thai may grow thousands of cannabis plants for export.

HI, how do you get a license to grow cannabis and export CBD oil in Thailand? for a foreigner...

In typical thai fashion, they made clear the market is not open to foreigner. To get a license to grow and sell you need to be an approved practitioner or research facility. As a foreigner the best you can get is a medical prescription for personal possesion and consumption. They are discussing a bill to allow Thai only to grow 6 plants per household for medical use.

They have every intention of doing this and there is already a scramble over who will be licensed to do this. But it will not be something individual farmers will be allowed to do. The powers that be will control this lucrative enterprise and its profits.

Potential for making big money through export was a nig factor in legalization.

Only problem is that the market is being falsely propped up with speculation and empty promises.  Look at hemp farmers in the US.  Last year thousands of farmers switched to growing hemp, they are now having problems finding buyers and when they do they are getting half of the projected value of their crop.  Many farmers are switching back to conventional crops.  There is no infrastructure or demand to use all this hemp for food, clothing, fuel, etc... its all just hype.  The problem is that government and big business want hemp as a cash crop and are focused only on money but society for the most part wants good quality medicine and a legal recreational market.  Thailand will never have an export market with their current policy and approach.

This new site can help foreigners in Thailand legally access CBD and medical cannabis products through local private clinics.

https://420MedsThailand.com

Once you register for their medical marijuana card, they schedule an appointment for you with a licensed doctor at a private clinic who can prescribe the correct CBD and/or THC for your medical condition.  It's actually nice to have a doctor prescribing the correct formulation and dosage rather than just winging it.

It was super easy for me and well worth the small charge for the medical card.

correct formulation and dosage ?? Pretty sure they are all just winging it and tolerance changes real quickly anyway. When flowers come to clinics (I really hope this is soon)  I will visit the doctor as I am not trusting these oil's from all over the place. Plus I thought the GPO stuff was the only legal oil.

EDIT: Personally I suffer from Insomnia and 4 to 5 day migraines and I know a strong Indica heavy hybrid sorts me out a treat! and of course I like the side effects too.

so funny !

as if doctors knew anything ! no way someone is going to think for me about dosage !

Anyway, what is your message, a spam for an overpriced clinic ?

If you propose only the GPO CBD, this is pure <deleted>.

Only 1 place in Thailand is selling good THC that makes us sleep or high, and it's not you.

This may help a lot of you here in Thailand, I got my CBD permit to carry and use Cannabis on 2nd June from my Doctor. (who is licensed) Here is a site that may help:  https://thaicannabiscorporation.com/patient/

sorry but who are they ?

just private companies trying to make money or people problems ?

We do not need any website or any cheating company to get our CBD or THC.

But you seem to forget that TIT ????

I already know many Thai growing it and they dont give a F to any cop or law.

This is how it will happen more and more and nobody will be bothered that it's legal or not.

LOVE THAILAND ❤️
