Thailand elected to the ECOSOC for 2020-2022 after 12 year absence

In a media statement, released on Friday (June 14th), Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the country is among four from the Asia-Pacific group elected by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Weatherman warns of heavy rains in most parts of Thailand

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) is forecasting more rain today (June 16th) due to a strengthening southwestern monsoon over the Andaman Sea and a low pressure cell covering northern Vietnam, predicting worsening conditions until June 21st as the southwestern monsoon will intensify while southeasterly winds prevail over the northeast.
