For decades this was a cash cow for the bib but the army pulled the plug. The bulldozing of illegal hotels on public land. That would have been sorted in the past with a bit of extortion Not to say the army is free of corruption but a damn sight better than the BIB Not so; the difference is that the army deals in the big stuff - gems, logging, defence contracts, gathered country-wide, internationally and opaquely, the latter in pennies, gathered piecemeal and predatorily from the populace, and hence less easily hidden. Both are a cancer on the civil contract.

In short, you're asking the police to regulate their own income? Priceless. You couldn't make it up. I think Prawit needs remove the wi from his name. ???????????????? Did you notice the bit that said "police, military officers". Once again the military are tasked with ensuring the police do their job. Whether it's "fingers in pies" or "Who's eaten all the pies?", it was inevitable that a topic about ol' fatty would end up about pies before too long.
