Foreign tourists injured in Krabi road accident

A foreign tourist suffered severe injuries and another was slightly injured when a pickup truck slammed into them at a road junction in Krabi’s Mueang district on Tuesday, after the driver had lost control.

Twenty-year plan sets clear goals for management of resources

 

THE CABINET has approved a 20-year master plan for water-management and water-disaster prevention. The 2018-2037 national plan was passed with the aim of providing wider access to clean drinking water, an expansion in irrigation infrastructure and areas under irrigation, and preventing floods and droughts in core economic areas.

Panel to study use of marijuana on mental health patients

THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH (DMH)’S new panel will come up with guidelines on the use of marijuana for medical purposes and a recommendation on its use in treating psychiatric patients, which will be proposed to the Public Health Ministry’s Narcotics Control Committee, a senior official said yesterday.

BANGKOK (NNT) - All coalition parties have now submitted the name lists of would-be cabinet ministers to the Prime Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha. The Palang Pracharath Party reported that there were no negotiations for cabinet seats, as the Prime Minister will have a final say on this issue. The Election Commission (EC) provided an explanation as to why the Democrat Party has more votes following the March 24 general election.
