Unannounced PEA roadwork exacerbates bad Music Festival weekend traffic

n1-J-15-01-cable-bury.jpg

PATTAYA:--The Provincial Electricity Authority began digging up Central Road without notice, making traffic crippled by the Pattaya Music Festival even worse.

PEA crews are laying new equipment and wiring along the entire expanse of Central Road from Sukhumvit Road to the beach. But no press announcement was released nor warning signs erected, creating havoc.

The work is planned only for weekdays through September. The PEA had promised it would restore the road fully on weekends, but didn’t on perhaps the busiest weekend of the summer.

Without notice :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

Years ago when I worked for British Telecom, one of the guys made a standard type road sign which was displayed in the rear window of his van.

It said: Warning! Sudden tea breaks

Always the case--totally non-existent planning.  They are digging up 2nd road and traffic has been horrible--especially when the work was being done by Central Festival.  They are still working on it heading north, last I checked.  Did they have the brains to close the parking on the right side of the road to create a lane since the left lane was blocked?   Of course not.
