Hiring Practice Uni level, so be it!

I just came across what I thought was a good position at a southern university, salary wise 40-60 with MA.  However the kicker was it appears that you need to serve a 6 month trial period to be offered a permanent position.  So be it, I can see this is a longer probationary period and it would work out for both parties if the thrill is gone.

The red flag is that this southern uni has this policy in place and suggests high turn over of staff because of expectations not being met by school and teacher.

Any insights?
