webfact
Shooting range ex-manager held for alleged embezzlement By The Nation The former manager of a Phang Nga-based privately run shooting range was arrested in Phitsanulok province on Sunday over alleged embezzlement of Bt335,670 in bullet fees. The suspect, Thanawich Roopanichkit, 35, was arrested at his friend’s house in Muang Phitsanulok. The arrest stemmed from alleged embezzlement that took place late in 2016 when the suspect worked as a manager at the shooting range. His job included collecting bullet fees each day to pass onto the shooting range owner. Upon being arrested, the man claimed that another employee at the shooing range had provided him the account information that didn’t match the real money amount that he passed on to the business owner. IssanMichael
I read in a magazine that he was not on target with his sales so they fired him, it was thought that he aimed too high with his projections and failed. Then someone had a hunch something was wrong, it was just a shot in the dark, so they rifled through his drawers and found the real statements. I wonder what triggered the investigation or did they have him in their sights for a while? Probably taking stock and it pointed to him, so they didn't take a shotgun approach to it.
