Last few years hottest 3 months of the year my bill would max out at 2000 - 2500 baht. This year last 4 months 3500 baht. I am pretty liberal with the air cons, wash everyday etc but really always have been last few years and I know this has been a particularly hot summer. Only thing different is I have a medium sized chest freezer which is outside but shaded and under cover. Would this increase my bill so much or have electricity prices increased dramatically? But the increase on a specific 533 units is from the old bill at 2,230 to the new bill 2,255 or just under 1% on the total charge. So it is your usage not the 'lecky price FWIW. The hot weather has dropped our bill a couple of hundred this month as we have turned off the water heaters because our indoor tank is giving 33~36 degree water. Use class A++(+) if available for heavy grade appliances Replace all the fancy hallogene, incadescent bulbs with only led bulbs (if available and possible of course). Why not try a solar rig ? ? ? (am I missing something here) you are missing a lot. inverters consume like conventional aircons the same kWh based on cooling demand. that in some cases their use results in moderate savings has different reasons (associated with disadvantages). lighting takes the smallest share of consumption (average single family home). LEDs emit an ugly light (my personal opinion). solar is much more expensive than public grid (return on investment is abysmaly low). try running aircons via solar and cry. who or what are class A++(+) appliances?
