New Rules for Health Insurance regarding Marriage based extension

Recommended Posts

I need some information regarding Health Insurance regarding marriage based extension in Thailand.

Is Health cover mandatory for Non-O Marriage Visa Extension Applicants who are 50+ or 50- in age bracket? What are the new rules as far age is concerned?

Would be lucky somebody can share a link of these new rules that clearly states Age Bracket clause regarding Health Insurance for Applicant's.

Thanks

There is no Health Insurance requirement for any kind of extension.

It was only proposed to include Health Insurance as a condition to obtaining the Non Imm O-A Visa.

Which can only be obtained from a Thai Embassy where you have residency status.

There is no insurance requirement for anything other than a NON-OX visa that allows a total stay of 10 years for those 50 or over.

The only new insurance requirement that has been mentioned is for OA long stay visa for those over 50 but that hasn't even been formally approved or announced.

No. There are currently no plans — announced by the authorities — to introduce it, and IMO it’s unlikely it will be in the future.
