Several Administrative Suggestions

Hi Mods,

I have several point that I'll air here:

            1. Emojis: Can I suggest that you please introduce a 'Don't Like/Disagree' emoji? At the moment the nearest seems to be 'Confused' which is being badly misused by at least one member because the correct one isn't available and unofficial ones are frowned upon if members use their own.

           2. Delays after posts are reported: Having reported a post more than 2hrs ago I am surprised to see that it's still online. Would it not be better to introduce a system whereby reported posts are automatically taken down until such time as they can be looked at? The post in question contains two clear breaches of forum rules that were highlighted in my report. A similar report a few days ago had a flash-to-bang time of 7 hrs, rendering any action more or less useless as the message (abuse) had stood & been delivered for so long.

Guilty until proven innocent !!

Just don't re-open a thread if you are offended by something...

TVF is optional, as are most things in life ???? (confused face)

You may recall that a "dislike" button was tried a few years back. It was a disaster with certain vindictive members hammering users (not posts) they didn't like. I don't think we will be trying that one again any time soon.

Similarly with "auto-hide on report". As you have noticed it can be several hours before a mod gets around to checking and acting upon a report (remember we don't get paid for this game). Don't like a member - report his post and it's gone for a while.

What we have isn't perfect, but it works for Thaivisa.

I have never seen a report 7hrs old.

You may want to refresh the page when viewing it or press f5.

As for emoji's if I had my way I would remove them entirely. Always abused and usually used as a form of trolling, commenting without the option of response.

In all honesty why one earth would you or anyone bother, not a comment on moderation, i am understanding volunteering for a worthwhile cause etc  but a forum ...just dont see the point..... let the owners pay someone sounds much fairer  as punters then have direct recourse to site owner

Unless theres secret perks to the job you keeping stum about.

Maybe you should put in a request to be a Mod,then

you can change everything to the way you like it,and

delete every post you don't like.

regards worgeordie

I wish !!
