I never had the impression that Grab drivers were of a higher class. Many ppl esp. Chinese tourists believe that a Grab car is better. If they are Thai it doesn't matter what kind of taxi they drive. Being hot-headed and violent is in their DNA, and working for Grab doesn't alter that one bit.
