I checked a few, most were upwards of 2000 baht ... Hat Yai/Kuala Lumpur, Mae Hong Son/Yangon, Udon Thani/Vientiane ... Thanks, DS Type (DMK) to (KOS) flights in google then click flights below the google search bar and then choose one way. It should be a little over 1000 baht with service fee 1100ish. While you're processing they'll add luggage and insurance which will increase the cost but you can cancel it.

Sheryl
Sheryl...your confirming what backbacker brigade have been telling me in Saigon. I haven't been there for several yrs and what I hear is sad tale. The story goes its a deep sea port and a deal was done with Chinese developers and Cambodian govt. Stick a s load of money into it. Develop port ...have your Casino. Build as many hi rise hotels as possible. Is it as bad as tales I hear?Worse.Sent from my SM-J701F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

Most embassies and consulates will want to see at least one ticket out of the country when you apply. I’ve had many, never asked for return, airline didn’t either, require it, you can do border runs, don’t have to fly 6 METV is 9 months with extensions
tjo o tjim
Los Angeles consulate did not request an onward ticket back in March. Airline initially requested it when checking in, but we explained the visa to them and didn’t have any issues.

No hotels, restaurants etc left that cater to westerners. Many of the Chinese establishments refuse to serve non Chinese. The beach is polluted..raw sewage dumped by the casinos etc. Agree with Sheryl - I used to love "Snooky" but never again, sadly See here:

I'll book a cheap flight out and probably throw it away I guess. Buy a first-class ticket out. Most airlines let you cancel those without charge. Check the fine print.
riclag
For the last several years ,I have used a throw away oneway to Malaysia. Before I go to the consulate in LA, I usually book a flight before the 60 days are up to show them. The first time I got one they asked for the flight out Edited June 30, 2019 by riclag
captnhoy
I did the METV my last trip and I'm planning for next one now. I am US based. What I have seen is the price of 2 one way tickets make it worth my while to sharpen my plan and choose an actual return date so I do get a RT ticket. Price difference in RT and 2 OWs is worth it. Also flying EVA, for example, gives liberal rules for no cost changes.
