Best Masonry Drill Bits ?

Quite often and possibly unfairly a typical standard masonry bit will get cursed because its drilled itself into an arrow head or even the head just snaps off within 5 minutes of drilling into that concrete post.

The reason very often is that we are using a typical rotary drill which is underpowered for the job, so we press on and lean down on it...it happens.

The sds drills with their rotary percussion action are much kinder to even the crappiest of drill bits, drive in drill bits with little effort and those bits will last you a good while longer.

However when it comes to cheap drill bits for using in a cheap drill, I have found the Bosch drill bits generally a better standard and last longer than the Global 20bt bits they insist on locking away in a cabinet.

The usual moral of the story I thing.....use the right tool for the job
