Therefore he would have to serve 12.5 days in jail and I guess they round up the fractions and that the total will keep going up until you get to court. Once the fine is cleared, the prisoners are transferred to the Immigration prison in Soi Suan Plu pending deportation. If they have no air ticket, they have to wait there until someone sends them the money to buy one. I expect there would be some days in the Immigration jail waiting for a court hearing and sentence to be served in Phathum Thani but I don't know if these are deducted from the sentence. I would suggest it would be worth borrowing from someone or selling any possessions he may have to raise the B2,500, rather than go through this hideous experience. They have regulations about the type of flight you can leave the country on which must be a direct flight to your home country, if there is one, and they don't care if you have to pay for a full price one way ticket.
