Work permits can only applied for and issued at a Department of Employment office here in the country.

Thought so but wanted to be certain.

I know quite a few people who gave to leave the country when their work permit expires, must be solely for their visas. Guessing another ADV of being on a marriage visa is that you avoid this once a year ????

It is possible to get a work permit inside Thailand while not being on a non b, however requires a lot of paperwork and take a few weeks, it's just faster to get a non b outside the country usually 1-2 days, then come back in and switch it to a work permit, takes 5 minutes at immigration if using the one stop office

You don’t need a non B if you are married and have a non O. You just need proof of the marriage when applying for the WP.
