Tuesday 16th Asalha Bucha Day -- does Chaeng Wattana open on this day?

Recommended Posts

My calendar claims Asalha Bucha Day on the 16th (Tuesday) is a NON-observed holiday, but I recall it was observed last year. Any ideas? (please note: 17th is Thai Buddhist Lent and is definitely an observed public holiday)  Will Thai Immigration Chaeng Wattana open their doors?

Read the comments and thought I'd better check with local Immigration here in Nakhon Sawan as it's my week for annual extension.

Was told they're open Tuesday but closed Wednesday and Thursday.

Seems not to be standard everywhere so good idea to check if it's your week.

I think you had better ask them again since that does not appear to be correct info. Perhaps a misunderstanding.

This morning, Monday, notice on door of immigration office Phetchabun- CLOSED 16th & 17th.

I'm not surprised. It's hilarious that people who should really know better post with an air of certainty that all immigration offices will be open on Wednesday. Clearly it's hit and miss.
