It's the way this 'rule'(since when, by whom?!?) is being more and more strictly enforced, like, erm, in the last five year or so, with enough strength to make the bibs to come out of their cool offices (what is a feat in intself), to put pressure on all shops and 'waterholes', ...and also on resorts/hotels and restaurants with international customership, whoch were previously let out of the consequences of this ...dictatorial measure.

And nearly all of the ma and pas shops sell it anyway as they are true Thai Buddhists and never turn down money, the real and only form of enlightenment in Thailand they strive for.

I would enjoy learning the tenets of Buddhism that so many on here appear to be scholars of.

If it wasn't for days like these a lot of mom and pop style shops wouldn't be able to survive. They're good days for the local community and stop you spending in big c or 7/11
