giddyup
Thinking of buying a new TCL Smart 4k TV with a Linux OS. Not familiar with Linux, any advice?
dddave
If that"s the one with built in "ROKU", it's been getting excellent reviews.

No. I don't believe Thailand gets the TCL with Roku, at least not yet.
mitebbots
confused on the 55" TCL models. P6 vs. P8, specs do not come up for P6 on TCL's Thai site. P6 has smaller bezels and looks newer maybe? at Powerbuy the P6 and P8 had the same size bezel, not like shown on TCL site. P6 might be Linux, and P8 is Android? Android seems like it would have the most support.
recom273
All depends what Linux its running - If possible, you could install KODI and then the associated plug-ins to get the free programming, I’m not too sure what you would be looking to achieve. I am not a Linux guy, but when you find out what you want to do there are lots of information on the net on how to achieve it - Android is built on Linux,I have multiple “Linux” boxes around my house - raspberry pi’s - one is a retro video game machine, I used to have a PI media center, 3 of them run wifi audio endpoints.I am not too sure how Linux works in a smart TV.Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
