A veteran pilot decided to leave his 40-year long career in Malaysian Airlines so he could fly with his two recently graduated pilot daughters at another airline.

Safia Anisa and her sister recently landed jobs at carrier AirAsia immediately after graduating from a flying academy.

In a social media post, Safia shared how her father gave her and her sister a huge surprise by choosing to fly as a junior colleague with his two pilot daughters.

“This man left the company he’s been w for 40 years, started fresh as a junior, got a new rating at the age of 58, just so he could fly w 2 of his annoying daughters,” she wrote in her now-viral tweet. “I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this. Alhamdulillah, I finally got to fly w my abah! :’)”

Safia posted several images of her “aviation family” and shared that her father flew as a pilot in Malaysian Air for four decades before joining a new airline with his daughters.
