And you're right, under the 1st amendment he has a right to tell them all to go back. But that doesn't mean it isn't bigotry. Bigoted speech is also protected under the first amendment. And what that crowd said was even worse: They weren't telling her to go back. They were chanting "Send her back." In other words, they were advocating forcible removal of an American citizen on the grounds that they didn't like how she exercised her free speech rights.
