You used the adjective before the noun in "white....men." I take offence, as it is politically incorrect in America. Just as it is when you say "colored women," or "colored people" The politically correct terms are "women of color," or "people of color." Therefore, it is not "white men," or "white people." The politically correct terms are "men of whiteness" or "people of whiteness."

If that isn't confusing enough, you are, however, allowed to place the adjective first, as in "African American" or "German American." ...just a lesson in the culture war destroying America.

You're basically just talking about language conventions. They tend to change over time. People that don't want to sound dated or even bigoted need to make an effort to keep up with the times.

Like people that say "gay lifestyle" are stuck in the 70's.

First stab at an impeachment. New ones can be proposed later. Also even if congress never opens an impeachment investigation doesn't prove that "trump" is innocent of the obstruction cases. There is a political reason to not go ahead with impeachment, because the senate Quislings won't convict and also it's getting closer to an election date. Sorry saying something is "fake news" is just a propaganda tactic and has no bearing on reality. Again, the Mueller report has evidence cases for 10 cases of obstruction. Nothing fake about it. All the "trump" fans in the world can say that is fake billions of times and that doesn't change the FACTS around that.

Sorry but I think we are well into Peter and the Wolf territory now. They would have had one serious and sensible chance to impeach him, instead we have had this totally hysterical and chaotic "nail him on anything whether true or not" since the election. It was only what 2 months ago that this forum was holding their breaths totally on the cusp of Trump getting impeached for (non-existant) collusion. I didn't hear the word "Russia" for a while. Now they are going after him for bonking a pornstar and wrong-think. Sorry, it's a joke.

I wish you guys better luck organizing effective resistance in his 2nd term. A stock market meltdown or other acts of God would be the only chance of toppling the Trump.

There's some truth in what you say. Mywife is a staunch yellow shirt and I've often commented about what a sham the current democracy n her country is. The problem is, she's smart enough to know, and unfortunately give it back to me, about what a sham the current democracy in my country is.

Trump claims his father was born in Germany (even though it was his grandfather) so maybe we should send Trump back so he can be a real Nazi not a neo-nazi. Problem is even Germany thinks he is an idiot.

True, most people in his father's old village are not fans.

‘Go back’? Trump’s grandfather’s German hometown has a different message for the U.S. president

BERLIN — When it became clear Donald Trump would be the Republican nominee for president in 2016, the German village of Kallstadt suddenly became a destination for journalists and tourists curious about the unlikely candidate’s roots.

Trump’s grandfather had been born there and migrated to the United States in search of opportunity. Many of the 1,200 residents of the town, uncomfortable with the spotlight and the populist rhetoric Trump espoused, wished the eventual American president would forget about their quiet corner in Germany.

Except in the case of trump he abuses 'free speech' with his lies & misinformation when responding to critics. An example...

When was America Great?

It was great following WW II. The GI bill enabled people to get an education, a family could thrive on a single income, the healthiest middle class the world has so far ever known sprang up, and America was truly that "beacon on the hill." Then corporate greed took over and has brought ALL nations to their knees. Until that is fixed, we're all basically screwed.

You haven't been keeping up. There are at least TEN counts of obstruction. Barr lied and action against him is being deliberated.

Gaslighting only goes so far. There are 10 counts in the report. Barr decided not to pursue them. That doesn't mean that "trump" was exonerated on those charges. Mueller made that crystal clear in his short speech. The reason Mueller didn't suggest charges is because of Justice Department internal rules (not even constitutional level) saying a sitting president can't be indicted. Mueller whether that was right or wrong decided not to indict the president as soon as he started because of that rule. The only remedy is impeachment and of course congress can decide or not to decide it's worth it to go there.

Sorry but that is 100 percent wrong.

This has nothing to do with the supreme court.

It's evidence of crimes by a sitting president.

Based on justice department policies, no sitting president can be indicted.

So he won't be.

The only recourse to seek justice against a sitting president is impeachment by congress.

Opening an impeachment investigation is just that. It's just the beginning of a process.

Your reply has nothing to do with my post.

Of course to CONVICT on an impeachment passed by the house they do need that in the senate.

We weren't talking about that. You referred to the supreme court. This has nothing to do with the supreme court.

So if it's such a slam dunk, impeach him. Get it over with, impeach him so we can get Pence behind the desk. I only care about what he stands for, Pence will do good. Oh yeah.....not so easy is it?

You don't have a clue about how impeachment works, do you? You're as uninformed as Trump who actually threatened to go to the Supreme Court to stop impeachment. That earned him a lot of ridicule. The only role that the Constitution stipulates for the Supreme Court is that the Chief Justice preside over the impeachment proceedings. Nothing else.

Obstruction would be grounds for impeachment. No place in that for the intervention of the Supreme Court. It's the House that gets to decide what the grounds are.

Impeachment isn't fake news or not fake news. Saying fake news seems to be a CRUTCH you have along with so many "trump" fans.

Impeachment is now and has always been a POWER that congress has to invoke at any time.

It is not easy to impeach and then convict a president.

It hasn't happened even once.

So it's not a casual decision for the house to decide on beginning an impeachment investigation especially in an environment where they know the senate won't convict for loyalty to "trump" reasons.

So that may or may not happen. Not going ahead does not exonerate "trump" of the obstruction cases. It simply means they weren't pursued.

In the real world most violations are not actually pursued.

The courts have held that it's up to the House to decide those grounds. By your criterion, the Lewinsky case would have gotten nowhere.

I assume that's about his Mother's side.

His father was definitely a draft dodging German before he migrated.

Okay, so Trump basically said that if you hate and despise America, just maybe you might want to look elsewhere. I fail to see how this is "Racist." And that is most ironic coming from this forum where the slightest denigration against Thai officialism elicits, "This is Thailand. Live with it. " And that the Thai people can determine their own fate.

Is that what he "Just maybe you might want to look elsewhere"?  What he actually did say was go back to where you're from. To 4 Americans, 3 of whom were native-born to boot.

The defeat of the call to impeach was not a victory for Trump, he’s begging the Dems to impeach him, He knows even if impeached by the House the Senate would vote it down - Pelosi knows this too.

Which is why Pelosi is waiting for the courts to deliver Trump’s taxes and rule against those who are, on Trump’s orders, refusing to  testify before the House.

Next up Mueller’s testimony.

And in the background the Epstein case progresses.

Trump will get the Impeachment he is begging for, just not when he wants it.

Don’t bet on the Senate backing him when the time does come,
