theoldgit Posted July 19, 2019 Share Posted July 19, 2019 No, you cannot cherry pick your country of choice if you feel you need to seek asylum.A genuine asylum seeker should do so in the first safe country after fleeing their home country.No country, adhering to the UN Convention on refugees, will grant asylum because their home country is too hot or there’s fighting nearby.I’m closing this thread.
