help me please  !   i'm in urgent need of a holiday and would like to set up Go fund me. I think 300,000 baht should cover it .

I could get by on far less than that.

30k would do me.

Unless they had severe injuries, which it doesn't look like it or mentioned not sure why they even went to Saumi, there is a new hospital on Tao and plenty of clinics to stitch people up...not as if its the 1st time someone crashed a bike....the cost for a speedboat evac to Samui is 50,000bt to start with.

The couple’s insurance company would only cover some of the cost...

This is so typical for ALL insurance companies.
It's about JUST as typical to say that your motorbike had a brake failure.

Go fund me again I need to be helped I was stupid insurance not pay up.blame the brakes is a good excuse.just like the recent one In Spain .he saw the signs but went down the water slide head first.the end result is a wheel chair at 23 now.the family then begs on just giving or go fund me.insurance not pay not his fault staff at waterpark should have stopped him and warned him.just like the young lady in pai.begging when it goes wrong others will pay for my mistakes.

It’s illegal to confiscate passports which are technically property of the (here) British Government.  They should have contacted the embassy and requested new passports.  The hospital could then pursue the balance - unlikely to be paid of course.  But they have no right to withhold passports and the fact that this is their policy leaves me unsympathetic.

Once I had dollars only and hospital at BKK did not accept so they withold passport until THB was exchanged and paid . TIT

Alternative idea,

Stop ripping tourists off by putting them in expensive private hospitals.

Expensive Private hospitals that overcharge foreigners!  Exactly how much is this country raking in, by overcharging foreigners in hospitals????

If the motorbike had faulty brakes, then sue the renting Company.

Did the driver of the motorbike even have a valid drivers license?
