Army chief calls on all parties to help build good future for country

BANGKOK, 20 July 2019 (NNT) - Army chief Gen Apirat Kongsompong assured that the military have returned to normal and will follow the government policy. The army chief said the now-defunct National Council for Peace and Order’s regime will not be prolonged. He called on the people to not get stuck in the past and to help build a good future for the country.

Thailand, Australia sign MOU on prevention of Drug Trafficking

MOPH opens virtual Hospital for Mental Health

Mekong water level lowest in 50 years

BANGKOK, 20 July 2019 (NNT) - The Northeast is considered a drought-prone area as a result of its frequent lack of rain. Many provinces are again facing a water shortage. In Khon Kaen, more than 10 districts have been affected by the lack of rain. The water level in the Mekong river is at its lowest level in 50 years.

DGR prepares to tackle Drought

BANGKOK, 20 July 2019 (NNT) - The Department of Groundwater Resources (DGR) has constructed almost 2,000 ground wells, to alleviate the problem of shortages of water for consumption. The DGR is assessing drought risk areas together with other agencies, to better cope with the drought crisis this year.
