Stuff to bring from UK for a 3 month stay that is worth the hassle and cheaper

Recommended Posts

Pickling spices about one quid a small box.  Easy to buy distilled white vinegar, dill and sea salt here, which with a small thimble full of pickling spices you can make your own pickled vegetables.  So much easier to carry and cheaper than buying in the shops.

Wine

Decent wine........................ we recently packed 4 bottles of good French reds @ £9 - £15 supermarket price.

You can drop the razors, easily accessible at a sensible price in Pattaya.

Well there should be some actual bonding going on, if you see the same person over time, at that period, due to hormones.  If you are seeing different people all the time, I guess that isn’t a danger.  I suggest you just tell your partner that this is what you like and stop that annoying habit ...just like you probably don’t agree to only sniff kisses?

Na mate , i only do short time ,  bonding ? , what ever next .

Your in need of a good steak n kidney pie , with mash and onion gravy .

Help is at hand, Google pie man in thailand ...555

Paramol - contains paracetamol and dihydrocodeine and is the strongest otc painkiller you can buy in the UK. Fixes headaches and period pains fast. Can't buy it in Thailand.

You are correct, it sorted my period pains out very quickly !   LOL

But is it not illegal to import codein?

This is fun. Ibuprofen? Aspirin used to be hard to find, haven't looked for years as I brought lots...

I'm a Yank & miss Dr Pepper. Wife brought me some UK made from Singapore. UK mix not quite right compared to USA made.

I always bring coffee (being Yankish) and guitar strings.

I find those pods reprehensible on environmental level. It is not that hard to make a good cup of coffee.

.

When I’m not here I miss Som tam, sticky rice and grilled chicken

Its about 2.50 for a plate of som tam in the UK city (about 100 baht) as apposed to 40 baht down the soi in bkk

Might want to just stay at home if you're going to bring all of that stuff with you. Most things you can get here just a little more expensive.

I must say though I always bring a raft og PG Tips tea bags with me though. somehow they taste better from the UK ????
